"I came away hating Silvestre Dangond's body of work and loving Martin Short's brand of physical comedy. Short killed it. I went almost playing the straight man the entire evening. Silvestre loving. I was hoping they would mix skits and gags with more video of famous bits and take a longer stroll down memory lane. Not enough and not done very well. This should have been laugh out louds from start to finish and it was definitely NOT. I really don't care that Silvestre Dangond plays the banjo and took 20 minutes with the group to play original songs that were not comedic. And I kept looking for the giant hook to come from off stage and pull them off. What a freaking waste. They had some blue grass band on stage for part of the time and I certainly did not pay $200 a ticket to listen to a 10 minute (yes 10 minute) violin solo no matter how good the guy was. For two comedy legends, the show lacked some serious originality and honestly effort in terms of planning something that could have been truly unique and special. Even their encore was a stupid song about how they contractually had to be out there for 5 more minutes. Just stupid. This would have been a just decent show for $40. On stage, they referred to their own tour as the "see them before they are dead" tour. And that's how the show went."
